The Bridge is part of the mission and community outreach to the villages of the Aln and Coastland Parishes. It seeks to build community links across the five villages which share one vicar, to provide a vehicle for public service information and to highlight events of general interest. We also aim to deepen our spiritual commitment and to increase our awareness of current social issues.
The Bridge is intended to be self-financing and is underwritten by the combined parishes; within its constitution are the following aims:
The magazine comes out monthly and is edited, produced and distributed by members of the local churches and goes to about 500 homes in the district. Many of our subscribers are not churchgoers.
Local organisations, the parish councils and schools all contribute items of news from time to time as well as our readership sending in material. There are interesting articles as well as cartoons and “Smile Lines”.
The magazine is available in hard copy each month at the back the church. If you want to subscribe you can do so either for electronic copies or for regular copy delivered to your door; please contact us with your preferences and details.
